FRIED-day
While I was waiting for my next class, I took the chance to study photography AGAIN. As I was browsing some tutorials about food photography, I saw this link about the "ZOOM EFFECT". I saw it months ago and didn't have the slightest idea on how to do it manually. Finally, Darren Rowse gave some tips on how to do it without the help of any photo editing software.
I wasn't in the mood to take photos until I finished eating nuts and started jumping on my trampoline. I didn't even think of trying this "ZOOM EFFECT" and I just saw this golden lion my mom bought for the Chinese New Year. I found it a very strong subject for this trial photo shoot. Indeed, it was another good decision I made for today. Thank God it's FRIED-day!
NOTE: Please bear in mind that this was my first time to try this trick and I believe I need to practice more. :)

Staying Fit
I must say how difficult it is to stay fit and healthy these days. With all the (in)conveniences of our modern society, we've become slaves of those read-to-eat foods. A few years back, I tried to lose weight and I was triumphant in doing so. The problem was and still remains a problem is maintaning it. I avoided eating fast food, candies, drank no concentrated drinks exercised more. I even tried Yoga which I truly enjoyed.
Now, I see myself doing the same routine. More fruits and vegetables, less red meat, more water and regular exercise. As I struggle repeating the same routine, I thought of diverting my attention and energy to taking more photos each day. Yesterday's victim was our kitchen. Unfortunately, the photos I took don't look appetizing at all. I promise that in the coming days, I'd be posting something for our eyes to feast on.

Today's Concept: Green
It's been long since I last updated my blog site. Nothing has changed. I had too many thoughts that I failed to blog them down. They were in my head and all I could do was tweet them. I saw several photos online that kept me awake this morning. It was a gallery of the 17 beautiful images with shallow depth of field. http://digital-photography-school.com/17-beautiful-images-with-shallow-depth-of-field
It was an awe to see such great photos that people are so willing to share. As soon as I finished my ten-minute daily exercise routine, I grabbed Laura (my lovely digital SLR) and started shooting. Potted plants in various sizes immediately caught my attention. Each picture has its own story. Open your minds and let them unveil the mystery.
Please feel free to critique my shots. I'd surely love to hear your comments so I'd be able to take better photos for you.
